10mm carnelian beads are strung on a steel head pin and capped with a hand made bright aluminum bead cap made from woven chainmaille. The earwires are 301 surgical steel so they are safe for most with metal allergies and they come with hypoallergenic rubber earnuts so you don't have to worry about them slipping out of your ears.

Carnelian varies in color from brownish red to orange and can be translucent or opaque. This variety of Chalcedony is mined primarily in Brazil, India, and Uruguay.  Carnelian is a projective stone, representing the Sun and fire. Ancient Egyptians wore carnelian on their hands to calm emotions of anger, jealousy, envy, and hatred. This stone is still used in the new age community to promote peace and harmony, as well as to life depression. This is an excellent stone to wear to increase courage, especially in situations where public speaking is involved.
